Theme exhibition room

It shows you rich the history and culture of Kashiwazaki through the passage of time.

The exhibits mainly consist of real artifacts such as excavated household items. There have given us a great insight into life in Kashiwazaki in the past.

This gallery invites you to the Mt. Yoneyama (993meters) which is the spiritual of Yakushi. This mountain is on the borders of district Kariwa and Kubiki, and its beautiful shape rising from the Sea of Japan is the symbol of Kashiwazaki resident’s hometown. It is told that Monk Taichyou opened in Wadou 5 years (in A.D.712), an Mt. Yoneyama is believed as the healing, agriculture and marine safety spiritual of god.

Introduction, there is the Yoneyama tower which is based on the agricultural spiritual of god, and you are guided to the summit aims to signposts. In this room, we display symbolically the variety and the popularity of Mt. Yoneyama the diorama, pictures and the relevant materials.

Theme exhibition / Nature

Quercus serrata forests represent a “natural dam”, introduced in the four seasons of beautiful pictures of beech forest, also there is the hit quiz animal prints and fecal remains. The wild birds are also found in quercus serrata and beech forests.

This space, get to feel the nature of this region, but also emotional healing section.
